An Emperors Watch <– full resolution link
Even during the dark period of his life when Geralt couldn’t remember his past he always felt an intimate presence close by…
While the plan was to build a simple geralt/ves scene I had the sudden idea of that time than geralt searched for someone he forgot while said person already recovered from her “incident” and pledged herself to the nilfgaardian emperor.
Since I like the idea of power through domination … especially with women like yennefer (who I don’t really care for, character wise) it didn’t take long for me to imagine how Emhyr var Emreis (and probably most kings) used his new acquired (and magically beautified) counselor for some private pleasures. Knowing yen she wouldn’t tolerate to get his lower desires in her way for too long though and as a powerful witch like herself it wouldn’t be a problem to summon some succubus to take her place instead.
Yennefer would make a habit out of spying on geralt through on of her mirrors while entertaining the Emhyr but was often greeted with the sight of him filling the holes of some other women he often just met to fill the hole in his life he couldn’t explain. Needles to say that there would be at least one person in the room that enjoyed the show ;)
It startet out as an simple idea but developed into something more complicated as I was trying to implement the mirror thing in post and had to experiment a bit… I even added the “tease” into the glass!
If everything worked out as intended it’s now an image consistent of three parts that all have their own little “story”.
